Well its a similar thing to forge welding steel or iron, and you are supposed to use flux as, but I didnt. The metal is brought into a more molten state. I heat it up locationally using a torch until it pulls together smooth. (this is easily noticeable when fusing several wires) Then after that point I forge it out, but sometimes I have to reheat to a semi molten state to take out less desirable sections. If it isnt fused entirely it with crack or break while bending etc. I hope this helps :-)
